    Holy… MOLY!

That is OUTSTANDING! (and those words don’t do it justice)

I love that kind of music… and Shan was in some of these?

I can’t WAIT till the next one.

Are they all that short though?

Excellent job bud… and you Shan!

Dave sent me - wow that was beautiful! :-) If that doesn’t put Dave in the spirit, I don’t know what will ;-)

  3. on 05 Dec 2006 at 6:24 amDave

Sure… but let me get this straight.

We’ll only have the complete CD of great carols, on Christmas????

(Like I said, I want it all, and I want it now!) *LOL*

  4. on 05 Dec 2006 at 12:17 pmMark

Dave - Yep, and I get to listen to her walk around the house singing like an angel every Christmas season. That’s the thing from college she misses the most — getting to be part of such a great group.

We’ll see what I do in the future about the timing. Hmmm… maybe a bonus track on random days?

Karen - Glad you came on over. I hope it speaks to everybody on some level, even if not spiritually.

  5. on 05 Dec 2006 at 4:48 pmLinda

This utterly oozes “Holiday Spirit” :-)

  6. on 06 Dec 2006 at 7:11 amDave

Wow… they just keep getting better and better!!!!

Love the second one, and it’s longer!!!

  7. on 06 Dec 2006 at 8:23 amMark

Linda - Yep, in their own way, they all do.

Dave - Glad you’re still liking it. With the sheer number of songs we have, it’s not easy to choose.

  8. on 06 Dec 2006 at 11:36 amKaren

Another beautiful choice, Mark. Thank you!

  9. on 07 Dec 2006 at 6:56 amDave

    Wow…. this is breathtaking.
I know my bud Curt is also stopping by to get them, even if he hasn’t posted. It totally blew him away too.

  10. on 07 Dec 2006 at 1:03 pmMark

    Karen - Glad you’re enjoying.

Dave - I hoped folks would get a kick out of these.

    Hi, Curt.

  11. on 07 Dec 2006 at 6:33 pmLinda

    Really, really beautiful :-)

  12. on 08 Dec 2006 at 6:57 amDave

    Wow… once again, blown away.
Post them all bud!!! I need the Christmas Spirit! *LOL*

I’m still really enjoying this set of music, it’s just beautiful. However…you almost blew my eardrums. I loaded songs 1-6 into my iPod for the trip down to the Ozarks for Christmas with my extended family. When one of the quiet songs came on…we cranked it up to better hear it. Then Patapan came on. Ouch! ;)

  14. on 11 Dec 2006 at 9:53 amMark

Mokker - Glad to hear it. But, sorry you had to hear it so loud. I knew the volume difference could be a problem on some of these. Some, even on the same tape or CD, were recorded in different rooms with a variety of acoustics. I didn’t got the extra mile and normalize the volume between tracks. Some of them already sounded a bit “processed” because I applied some noise reduction filters for tape his reduction.

Still, though, glad to hear you enjoyed it on a trip to the Ozarks! Our old stomping grounds.

So far the best part is that you included a numbering system to the file names so we know if we’ve missed one as soon as we look in the folder they’re saved in. Very thoughtful of you good sir. (Well, maybe that’s not the best part, but still…)

  16. on 12 Dec 2006 at 9:20 amMoksha Gren

Leave it to Simon to think that the best part of a collection of Christmas music is the way the data was labeled.

  17. on 12 Dec 2006 at 2:58 pmThe wife

Simon, I am so offended! The beautiful music here should be all that matters to you. Oh, wait, you’re a geek like my hubby, so never mind ………..

  18. on 12 Dec 2006 at 4:21 pmMark

Simon and Moksha - Funny that Simon mentioned this, because I was just thinking I should have number them on the page itself. Maybe I’ll do that retroactively.

Wife - I just think it’s amazing that you not only sing beautifully, but you’re so beautiful in every other way, too.

  19. on 12 Dec 2006 at 5:24 pmThe wife

I call you a geek and you call me beautiful - what, are you trying to get laid or something? (oh, nevermind - duh!)

  20. on 13 Dec 2006 at 11:29 amSimon

Shan, my deepest apologies for any umbrage taken. I feel shame. (Though the geek in me is the teeniest little bit unapologetic.)

And Mark, you were laying it on a little thick, two comments up above there. (Not that I’m implying you’re lying, of course.) Subterfuge, man, subterfuge!

  21. on 13 Dec 2006 at 1:02 pmMark

Simon - Oh, I was trying to lay it on thick.

You know, I’m going to stop right there, because this is a Christmas song page, and therefore should remain family-friendly.

I’ll remember the attempt at subterfuge (another word I like. Mispronounced almost as often as “mischievous,” but only because it’s not spoken aloud much).

  22. on 19 Dec 2006 at 4:53 pmMoksha Gren

Free song each day…except for today :(

  23. on 19 Dec 2006 at 9:55 pmMark

Mokker - Yeah, I didn’t get one out here this time. We’re still averaging well over one song each day, if you look at Dec. 5 to now. That’s my story and I’m remaining adhered to it.

  24. on 20 Dec 2006 at 8:56 amMoksha Gren

Yes, but as a guy who is offering his reader absolutely nothing in the way of holiday content, I reserve the right to badger and complain to anyone who is generously giving but failing to meet my arbitrary expectations.
