I don't make it over here often, but when I do, I'm reminded of your love of writing in a big way. You're one of the few I read whose love of their craft is as evident as it is inspirational. Keep loving writing and we'll keep loving reading.

You know, now I'd feel like I was just jumping on the bandwagon if I went out and got a copy of Catcher in the Rye. I have yet to read it, and I'm sure sales have jumped based on Salinger's death and renewed interest in his work. I'll wait a bit, but I'm sure I'll get around to reading it eventually.

Good thoughts on writing, Mark. The reasons for doing so are awfully varied.

Thinking the title of this post should have been "I am not J.D. Salinger".

Excellent post, about a man I knew too little about it seems, but then again, there's billions I know little about.

I wonder... while he was still with us, would he want his works published, or not.
