Green Bench

This green bench was one of many that intrigued us at Wilson Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas during our trip last week. I tried to do something a little different with the composition by holding my camera high above my head and just shooting until I got something I liked. I couldn’t see the viewfinder at all while snapping the shutter.

I admit I’ve failed to find any new shots featuring green since Anna started her latest project. It’s a tough one. Yellow was much easier to find while out driving.

Wait… aren’t the trees budding? (green up here)
    Isn’t the grass….. GREEN!?? *LOL*

That moldy stuff in the back of the fridge…. (besides the blue cheese).. *LOL*

And I think you even failed a little bit on this one, Mark. That doesn’t really look green, you know. I’d say it’s sort of turquoise-y. Sea foam, maybe. But not really green.

I kid, of course. Uh… nice perspective!

There’s plenty fo green down here and I assume in Texas as well, but it’s not quite as interesting as the yellow. Grass is beautiful, but elusive artistically. The yellow was intriguing becasue you could find small pieces of yellow to use as focal points. So, I think I know what you mean. Then again…I’ve not been trying very hard this week.

Anyway, I like fish bench and I dig the capture method. Nearly random…like some kind of cat painted canvas. Neato ;)

I love this picture. What a unique bench. And I love your perspective as well. I frequently shoot pictures without seeing the viewfinder. When I’m outside my glasses go dark and I can’t see a thing in the window. So, I shoot in the general direction of what I want and then clear things up by cropping later.
