Wild Rider (Pic of the Week)
Benjamin felt much better in this picture than he has this week. Thursday night I put him to bed with a mild fever, this flu refusing to let him go.
As I walked out his bedroom door he croaked, “Daddy, would you please rub my back?”
“Of course I will,” I said.
A few hacking coughs erupted from his mouth. He managed to cover the last few. “Sometimes you sing songs when you rub my back, but not today,” he said.
“Okay, not tonight.”
I can’t wait for the day when he feels like riding again. He’s still my boy when he’s sick, but he certainly isn’t himself.

That top image is wonderful. I would totally blow that bad boy up and give it to him for his room! :) Do you remember when you were THAT excited about something?
Have a good Friday Mark!
The blur on the wheels shows just how fast that Easy Rider is going. Hopefully the flu gets high-tailin’ it just as fast now.
Ride on, little Ben, ride on.
I’m glad he’s slowly getting better.. and I know how you feel when kids get sick.
Great first picture… should have been named “Hell On Wheels” though.. *LOL*
You sure know how to tug at the heart strings don’t you Mark. poor little guy. I can almost hear that little voice please rub my back…
That top picture is a keeper for sure.
Anna - That’s a good idea! I just might do that.
Simon - Glad you noticed the wheel blur. Photographically, it was one of my favorites parts of that picture.
Dave - I like your title, but I wanted to come up with my own.
Amy - I try to tug the heart strings, but I’m not nearly as good at it as I want to be (for my fiction, anyway).
Cool pictures. I hate it that he still isn’t feeling well. Tell him we miss him.
Mark
I agree with Anna. Blow that top picture up, it is great. I hope Benjamin feels better and that you all keep from getting what he has!
Mike
Charles - The boy’s made a complete recovery except for a phlegmy cough.
Mike - Funny that you commented when you did. Shannon feigned shock and emotional distress earlier that day that our boy got only six comments. Now maybe she won’t scar for life.
Probably the most aggresive picture I’ve ever seen of Ben. Biker culture will bring that out in a man I suppose. He just needs a doo-rag on his head and some leather and his journey to the dark side will be complete…in a totally cute way.
