Christmas Card Redux
Anyone whom we sent a Christmas card probably already has it, or will very shortly. It looks exactly like the image above. All of you who do not receive one can just look at the picture here. We’re not even sure we’re going to send out 70-something cards next year, so keep your eye here next year for the picture.
After we mailed those, we took a picture of all three of us that we think would have made a better card. There’s nothing wrong with having Benjamin represent our clan, but showing a smiling family really makes a Christmas card, doesn’t it?
You be the judge.
Now, ignoring my strange posture and Shannon’s lean, and the dead space on either side of us, isn’t that a good one?
For the shot, we set up Shannon’s camera on the tripod (mine was being finicky) when we visited the Gaylord Texan Resort. My Wordless Wednesday post this week features my pictures from that night.
No matter which picture you feel would have been better, I hope your year-end festivities (whatever they are) go well, and may you laugh as hard as Shannon and her friends did posing for snapshots Wednesday night. I won’t be back out here until at least Tuesday, maybe Wednesday, barring some unforeseen blog emergency.
Happy Festivus!

I think it would have been really cool to have you, Shannon and Ben all wrapped up just showing your eyes. That would have been way better than the two you posted. Just kidding. You know how cute I think Ben is so any picture with him in it is great. It is always great to see a family pic but if you have a super cute one with just the kid in it then I say send it. No one really cares what you are doing once kids are in the picture.
Aaaaahhhhh!!
Shannon’s really a ninja!
I knew it.
And a red ninja to boot…the craftiest of the bunch.
While I love the family picture, Christmas cards are all about foisting your child’s cuteness on the world. It would be selfish to push yourself into that equasion. I think you picked the right card, but I’m glad you posted the others here.
Merry Christmas, Williamseses!!
love the card you sent out and the family picture. both are superb! :)
Merry Christmas to all three of you….
Hey, how about letting Ben make a blog post some time???
(and no coaching him!) *LOL*
I like the one you sent out. Very cute picture of Ben!
