Big Pile of Sand (Pic of the Week)
Click for bigger and better version.
Look at the other people (in the background) for some size perspective. This is truly an incredible place to visit. I’m sorry my trip wrap-up has to wait. Internet time is limited here. Next week’s posts promise lots of scenery and some fun moments.

“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of my wife.”
But where the heck’s the monument? Is the SAND the monument? Damn! Big monument!
It looks like “Shannon, the Giant Woman!”
Wow, what perspective…. LOL
I keep looking for R2D2 and C3P0 to walk by…
It’s actually justa clever trick of perspective. They sell tiny, plasitc people at the gift shop that you can spread around the sand dune to make it look more impressive.
Cool. I love sand. Hope you’re having a monumental vacation.
(Wow, that was lame…)
Simon - Ha! I dig the caption.
I must admit, I guessed badly on the name of the place. “Monument” is not in the name at all. Oops.
Dave - Hey, it does look like that. Just don’t tell her!
Curt - Didn’t even enter my mind, but very funny.
Moksha - I’m sure you’ve been there, so you know the truth.
Linda - Lame, indeed. Keep’em comin’.
This reminds me of the movie “Night at the Museum” where he is the big human and all the little people come alive! :) Have a great week Mark!
What a cool photo, very Gulliver’s Travels.
I love the illusion, although I admit I didn’t notice it on my own. I just lucked out, I guess.
If you get this Mark, drop me an email. My contact list was compromised and I lost yours. Thanks, Blitz.
Isn’t this a great place! I loved it there.
