    “It’s grape. Apes love grapes. I love Gorilla’s. I’m a Gorilla. I stink like Gorilla’s do. I eat lettuce. I don’t have a red butt like a Baboon, but I live in a zoo.”

OK, so that’s more or less the exact recap from LC last night at Chili’s in Jacksonville. Where does that stuff come from?

It’s obvious that you’re going to have to work on Ben’s multi-tasking capabilities. He should be able to eat a lollipop, drive, talk on the cell phone, and refer to some sort of written material at the same time. Otherwise, what are a kid’s chances of success in today’s world?

Maybe we should re-focus our teaching methods.

“How to stay alive and not harm anyone around you while doing three to four things you should never do while driving a car.”

OK…I think I should admit that I just returned from the golf course a little while ago, and I’ve had a few sodas infected with Crown Royal and/or Raspberry Vodka. Otherwise, it may be hard to explain my last few comments.

At this point I find myself asking myself this question. Did I miss something, or did my brother just post an entry about a haircut that only contained two sentences referring to Ben’s dialogue regarding a lollipop?

Am I that hammered? Surely I haven’t lost my ability to read. Alas, anything is possible….

Oh…and I LOVE your banner picture of the Scissor-Tailed Fly Catcher. They’re my favorite birds. Their mid-air acrobatics are unmatched. Just last week I saw one at Ben Geren Golf Course, and he was making a squirrel’s life very difficult. I’m not sure what the squirrel did to upset him, but he had a dive-bombing move going that would have been the envy of the Japanese in WWII.

For anyone who has not seen these birds in person, they are incredible. There aren’t many in Arkansas, but they are all over in Oklahoma. I’m not sure how far north they go, but if the Yankee’s viewing this site have never heard of them, you would seek some footage of them online. Best bird ever.

Again…alcohol. Still not filtered by my kidneys well enough…

That is hilarious and something that I could see any one of my three kids saying very “matter-of-factly”….

    Cute.

Mark, I love your brother’s alcohol- induced writing; I’m sitting here laughing so hard that I had to go back and read your post to remember what he was commenting on.
    Does he have a blog???

Charles - Raspberry? You had me at Crown Royal, but you lost me at Raspberry.

Great comments on the scissor-tail — it’s Shannon’s favorite bird, and they are all over the place down here.

Anna - I’m glad you can envision your own kids saying that, because I know things like this are much cuter when it’s your own kid.

Linda - Yeah, Charles and I have a lot of the same sense of humor, and he’s a better writer than he’ll admit. No blog for him, though.

You should go back and read his late comments on other entries around this one.

The kid has his priorities right… *LOL*

Charles has this comment thread all tied up. I can’t contribute anything to compete.

But a big Yay! for Ben knowing how to dish the attitude.

Back sober now. I’m amazed that I didn’t seem to make any glaring grammatical errors, or completely lose my train of thought.

Oh and Mark…It’s Rasberry Vodka put in the freezer, and then mixed with Sprite. It is something I think even you would like. Maybe you’ll have to try that one on our vacation for one of your 4-5 drinks that you have per year. Shannon…different story there. Oh…did I type that out loud? LOL
