Half-Hour Hobo

I needed supper, but it wasn’t in the evening’s budget. I scrounged for change and came up with $2.50 in quarters, and then grabbed a dime for good measure. I figured the nearby $4.99 Car Wash place, with all the people it kept waiting every day, would have a vending machine. Surely for $2.60 I [...]

Happy Mother’s Day

Published by Mark Williams under General Thoughts

I’m not one for Hallmark holidays, but I don’t feel this one falls into that category. Mothers deserve a special day.

“Thank you for choosing Chili’s, this [...]

Pic, Video and Stream of Thoughts

On a recent trip to a neighborhood park, Ben looks at the pool. (click for better version)

My parents will arrive sometime today (Sunday), and will stay until Tuesday. I’m not sure how often I’ll post over that time, but there’s sure to be lots of content from it. I’ll show mercy when deciding what and [...]

Tee Ball Madness

Published by Mark Williams under Food, Kids, True Story

(click to make better. sorry — my favorite photo album plug-in doesn’t allow me to customize the compression, so they look fuzzy on the blog page)
Thursday night, Ben’s tee ball team had its first practice.
We’re talking three-year-old kids here. Compared to this bunch, the Bad News Bears started out like a well-oiled machine.
