Don't forget the Def Leppard classic, "Let's Get Rocked." In that song, the meaning is not at all ambiguous.

I really hate when people don't finish sentences in the way you describe. Such as, "That is really beginning to bug." I think I first encountered this bastardized grammar when watching "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer." The main character would often speak in such truncated phrases. It really bugged. (me)

When I hear people in the real world do it I can't help but surmise that they think it sounds cool. It doesn't, it sounds stoopid.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Simon - I can't believe I overlooked that one. I haven't heard "Jabba on the Dais," but I think I still have "Eat Me I'm a Danish," on a cassette I recorded from a morning radio show in the 1980's.

If you're dirty pig for thinking that would be funny, then so am I.

On first seeing the post title, I automatically added the finisher, "...Amadeus!"

Which made me think of the delightful send-up of the same song:
"Jabba on the Dais."

EVERYTHING, eventually, devolves back to Star Wars at some point.

Oh, and it's a good thing that your co-worker didn't mention that she had an overabundance of streptococcus in her throat; that may have garnered a few odd looks. Or maybe I'm just a dirty pig.
