To your question of whether it is the same for all non-smokers, probably so with varying degrees of disgust. It's rare to see couples where one is a smoker and the other not...especially in those early, frequent tongue sucking years! I've met more than a few couple who have been married 15 years where one smokes and the other doesn't, but it's usually because one had to quit for medical reasons and the other ends up becoming a porch smoker. So, there are my limited observations :-) Have a good one!

Simon - I wondered whether the experience was the same for all non-smokers who swapped spit with smokers.

Sure they would have been born, but not with you as their daddy. Nevermind. It's late.

Oddly enough, my wife was a smoker when she wasn't my wife. And such was the power of my personality that she rapidly eschewed smoking within the first couple months of dating. At least, I chalk it up to my animal magnetism and sheer force of will.

Thankfully, I never had that ashtray experience. Our sons may never have been born had that been the case. O, the tragedy!
