Shannon,
I'm so excited for your new vision. Hope it went well. Now you won't have to take off your glasses when you have your picture taken. Remind me to tell you why my friend had Lasik.

I figure if Tiger Woods had it done, then it must be getting to be pretty safe. But you might want to just ask the Doc to go really slowly...like he was operating on Tiger Woods himself. :-)

I can't believe they'd never had that question before. Next thing you know she'll be asking them if she can just do one eye to see if it really works before she pays to have the second eye done. That silly Shannon. :-)

A "firewifenaut". Cool!

Good luck Shannon. Both with the astigmatism and the stigma of having a son with such a unique career calling!

Thanks for the well wishes, Hazel Hazel ... maybe I will have a great experience (I hope) and it will inspire you to check into it for yourself!

All other readers, please note that along with Ben's space helmet, he is also sporting his red fireman hat (from Halloween) underneath it, as well as my slippers. So really he is a fireman-housewife-astronaut. What a great thing to be!
