Welby...there are some parallels in there that are almost scary. I loved your reference to our excursion to the abondoned building in Ft. Smith, which actually happened. That was a strange night, but I don't remember any murdering going on. I do remember the strange cop who claimed to remember me from the mall earlier though. Wrong place...wrong time...it can happen to anyone, and that night taught me that lesson.

I really like the story so far.

Hazel, you should not worry about me. I'm not a sicko. I just thought it would be interesting to write a story like this, because when I was a reporter I never got to talk to anybody remotely scary.

You know, it has always alarmed me that a perfectly normal (presumedly) person can write about awful, heinous things like a killer's mind and a killer's act. AND make them believable. You've alarmed me.

I had written about the first three paragraphs of Part 1 about two weeks ago. That's it, though. Finished that sections the Thursday night I posted it. Part II I wrote the following day, then sat on it all weekend because I wanted to wait until I could concentrate on it again.

To make a long answer even longer... I'm writing it as I go. What you've read so far is all I have.

This is completely unexpected, Mark. Hard to say that I'm enjoying it without sounding too macabre. I have locked up the fava beans and the Chianti though, just to be safe.

Heh, that's exactly what I was thinking: just delete the previous recording and start over!

Good story, Mark... you've kept it interesting so far. Are you writing it as you go, or is it already done?

Good story. Perhaps you could throw some demon possession in there? Just kidding, unless of course, you really want to. :)
